The Government of Hungary declared its “Opening to the South” policy in spring 2015, focusing on Latin America. This has facilitated relations between Hungary and the region illustrated by the re-opening of several diplomatic missions, opening of new trade representations, and expansion of network of trade attachés, as well as institutional and contractual relations with the Region.

The III Hungary – Latin America Forum organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs seeks to bring long-term cooperation with the Region to a new level. In addition to fostering existing fields of cooperation, the Forum provides a unique occasion for participants to exchange experiences and identify new opportunities, especially in the areas of scientific, technological and underlying educational cooperation. Events connected to the Forum (study tours and a business forum) offers a genuine opportunity for networking and identifying specific opportunities for cooperation on the spot, even within a pragmatic, business framework.

Participation at the Forum is free and open to all, however you must register until 1 October.
